Skyrim, land of Dragons

So I haven't posted in a couple of weeks.  I blame the newest video game I purchased, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim."  It has eaten up a lot of my time. Between that and watching Star Trek with my wife I haven't been on the computer much.  So I'm going to talk a little about Skyrim.

I love this game.  It takes place what appears to be a fantasy equivalent Northern Europe.  The land is once again being plagued by Dragons, and only you, the Dragonborn can stop them.  You do this by absorbing dragons souls and learning to speak their tounge.  Which is awesome.  Who knew that saying the word for "Force" in dragon speak causes a massive shockwave to shoot out of your mouth, knocking everything in front of you aside.

The game is just massively open ended.  I've played it for at least 24 hours (total) and only done about 3 missions in the main story line.  The rest of the time playing I've been doing side quests and working at becoming the greatest Thief in the land.  Which I've done well.  There is something satisfying about walking up the king while he's having a meeting and stealing his pants without anyone knowing.

You could be a Thief like me, or you could be a wizard, or a warrior, or any combination of the two.  There are endless possibilities!  You could join the Bard College or the Companions, a mighty group of warriors.  You could get married.  Or you could become the greatest blacksmith in the land.  Whatever you want!

There are some problems with the game though.  Being so massive it is a little buggy at times. For instance, There are spots you can fall through the floor, but it is still a ton of fun.  It makes me happy in so many ways.
